Well, although this is not wedding related, this is the Diary of a Wedding Planner and therefore I must let everyone know that Jose Luis and I are expecting our first baby on September 20th. Yes, that is correct, I am big and pregnant right now and very excited! We have decided not to find out the sex which is driving most of our friends and family absolutely crazy, but we really want to experience that total surprise when the doctor announces "it's a .....!"
I am still working though and planning weddings. I have had a great pregnancy so far besides being tired more than before, I have been lucky and had no complications (knock on wood). My pregnancy has not made me any less interested in my clients or prospective clients. I do have to say that it has been tough however meeting with brides while pregnant. It is almost as if it scares them to think that there is something really important going on in my life right now. I have actually had brides ask me if I thought my having a baby would affect me being able to plan their wedding. Of course not! I mean how am I any different than any other working mother? Yes, of course this is a huge milestone in my life, much like my wedding was. It is the next progressive step. I do still love my business, my clients and the work that I do and will continue on!!! :)
Well that is the latest of what is going on in my life. It has been a very exciting last 8 months and I cannot wait to see what the rest of my child's life will bring to ours. I am so blessed. I have an amazing husband and now I will be having his amazing child. I can't wait!!!
